We had a very eventful family celebration for the 4t
h at our house. You see, we
inadvertently set our neighbor's front and back yards on fire with the smoldering debris that rained down from the sky as
DaddyP and my brother launched a barrage of firepower frightening enough to have my youngest child weeping and saying, "I'm too young to die..." She wasn't pretending to be worried for her life. She was genuinely concerned, as were we all.

Here is a photo of the children during happier times....times when they clapped their hands with glee and shouted, "Hooray for Daddy and Uncle!" Little did they know that we'd soon be soaking beach towels in the pool to toss over the fence in an attempt to not burn down the
neighborhood.

And then the
testosterone took over and the rest is burned up history. Much like portions of our neighbor's yard.

This was early in the evening, but I love it because Jack looks like the Silver Surfer.

We hope the 4
th of July was a safe and fire free event for your family!
