Last Swim Meet '08

The meet was oh-so hot, but Jack did oh-so wonderfully! He qualified for the ALL STARS swim meet next weekend, but we'll still be in Florida. RATS. (Speaking of RATS/Florida, the weather forecast where we are headed looks like tons of rain! ARRGGHH! Brita, my friend! Help, do you have any weather info from Florida?? Argh! Forecast is calling for 30% each day. Sniff, sniff.)
The bags are all packed, and we'll roll out of here tomorrow mid-morning headed for New Orleans. I plan on taking my laptop and will update if possible.

Pith, Your news is astounding! Please update as soon as you can! I am in awe! PDaddy wondered what had happened when I guffawed so loudly that it frightened the cat! I'll be thinking of you and hoping you can keep your sanity until you have answers! Happy thoughts chic.

You will be fine! When Florida weather calls for 30% chance of rain (or any other percent for that matter) it just means that 30% of the area (city, town, wherever you are going) will be under rain. Also, since it is the rainy season, this is to be expected. However, remember that here in Florida, when it rains, it only rains for about an hour, and usually in the heat of the afternoon. So, your mornings and early afternoons should be awesome and hot, and your late afternoons will have a chance of rain which will only last a short time. This rain is welcome, as it cools down the temps for a perfect evening. One more thing...30% is really only a chance of rain. That is a relatively low percentage considering it is summer in the south! Have fun, and keep us updated. Where in FL are you going, anyway? Same place as last year? If so, you should be fine. Have fun! (And here is my waiver: I am not a weather person, so you can't hold me responsible if I am wrong :) .) I can't wait to hear about your trip!
