Relocation

PDaddy and I are toying more and more with the idea of relocating. My job is such that I can pretty much do it anywhere we would decide to live, and PDaddy has his eye on some areas that would lend themselves more to a photography based business. Most of the areas would mean us moving 6-7 hours in a different direction than we do now. Another reason that spurs us on, is that we want more of a small community that has a small, hometown feel but without being a mecca for what small towns can accumulate. I am not sure of the likelihood of this move in the next year or two, but I do know that it has come up a lot...and PDaddy and I are pretty spastic that way. As we've talked and discussed, I have been surprised to hear that DaddyP is as onboard as I am with keeping this option open in the coming years. I lived in a several different (polar opposite) cultural/locales growing up, and I am very thankful for that. Bottom line is that I really don't see us living in the area we live in for the rest of our child rearing/school age years. East Texas is nice, but I could love living somewhere a bit more Texas, if you know what I mean. Things to think about. Doors to leave open. Options to keep on the table. Things that make ya go hhhmmmm.

I know a place that has lots of photo taking opportunities. And some really nice Texans live there, and they are the kind of friends who would fix Rotel for you anytime you wished for it. And no small town mecca. At all.
Did I mention that I'm related to the personnel director at the schools here???

Listen to me and listen closely. Whatever you do, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT move North! It is too cold and you will hate yourself for the rest of your life. Move west. Move south. Move east. Anywhere but NORTH!!!
