Kiddo Update

It's been a while since I've updated about the kids, so I thought I'd do a little update!
((BTW, I had a surprise mammogram at the GYNO today because I had turned 35. YOWZER! Now my paranoid self will sweat bullets for the next 2 weeks waiting for the results.))

Jack:
My child with the size 6.5 feet is now 4'10 and growing by the minute. He is anxiously awaiting the start of the Olympics and has the countdown almost to the minute. Guess what we'll be watching for the next two weeks? When Jack was a tot, he was fascinated with trains. We thought is was a phase. He still, to this day, loves trains. He reads extensively about them and can tell you any thing about any train on the planet. He also likes to order things that his mama and daddy do not know about like train magazines, train dvd's etc. Yeah. Problem! Jack and PDaddy will start swimming at the gym again when school starts back up. Now that swim team is over, and he has had a bit of a break, he's itching to get back into the training routine. They'll start swimming early in the a.m. before school starts. This isn't a problem for Jack. The kid wakes up at 6:15 every day. No matter what. Crazy, I know. He has been keeping a scrap book about swimming, swimmers, Olympics, etc. We've noticed lately that his voice is changing ever so slightly. EEK, I am so not ready for this!! He's headed to fourth grade this year which means it will be his last year of elementary school. Did I mention I am not ready for this?! My baby!!

Sam:
He is a red head. Do I need to say more? Sheesh. He is headed to 2nd grade this year, and 2nd grade may never be the same. I'm not exactly sure of his stats, but he has grown more this summer than he has ever grown. On that note, I can also say that he has eaten more this summer than he has ever eaten before. From tacos, to steak, to hot sauce, to shrimp, to baked potatoes. Have food will eat. The boy still loves dirt and his mama. What else can you ask for? I'm talking about a MAMA'S boy. God love him.

Sophy:
She told me that she wants to "control a snake farm" when she grows up. This is the same girl who is concerned with which necklace she is wearing, how sparkley her shoes are, and how many different colors we can paint her fingernails at one time. She loves reading about Egypt and the ocean, and she loves dancing and pretending like she is an orca. If one could exist by consuming only brownies, she'd give it a try. Tonight she told us that she couldn't sleep in her bed because someone had put a pea under her mattress. HA!
