PDad left the house at 4 a.m. today headed for Mississippi. He is home now. That's quite a road trip!
I had to be at school at 7 for a student award breakfast. We do this once a six weeks, and 2 of the students I nominated were selected which meant that I had to give a little 'I'm so proud of you' speech to the parents/grandparents/students in attendance. I love an audience and a podium, so it wasn't really a hardship...especially since fresh kolaches and orange juice were served. Speaking of audiences, I've decided I want my own show. Maybe I could make a little studio in my house, set up some video equipment, and broadcast a daily show? Hahaha. I could be like KRAMER!! Ok, I seriously need to give this some thought. An audience! Of my very own! The poor, unsuspecting public.
After the captive audience this morning? What then? Oh! Well, I spent the day wrangling 100+ kids who are fairly certain than school really should be out already. Can't say that I can blame them for feeling the way they do. God Bless Them All.
Came home after school and threw, literally THREW, the kids into the pool. PDad made it home around 6 with Mexican take out, and the brick guy came and dismantled the tumbled wall of the front walkway. (We redesigned it, so hopefully there will be less of a chance that someone will ping it in the future.)
Now what?
Well, we're waiting on the painters. Still. And the tile guys. Still. We think that will be early next week. Which means they'll be here probably the first of June.
Speaking of June, we leave from here for Biltmore in less than a month!
Sqquueee!

I LOVED that episode of Seinfeld when Kramer had his own talk show (in his apt!). And oh yeah. . . I had to give a speech at a high school awards ceremony and about had a panic attack. Everybody was looking at me!
I think you should tape yourself and upload to YouTube.. you would be the next viral sensation.. that sounds kind of bad.. but i think that's what they call it right? viral?
I want to be in your audience!!
