Friday-Eating out
PDaddy and I have been making weekly menus and shopping for those specific menus for about 2 years now. We are spending about $300 less a month! Some months we stick to it more closely than others. If we know we're going to be out of town or eating out one night, we take that $ out of our weekly grocery budget. We spend about $150 a week on groceries at the MOST, even though we go through 5 gallons of milk a week. Some weeks, we spend no more than $75. Here is how we do it:
- Monthly budget: approx. $550
- Make a menu and only buy ingredients needed
- If we're eating out, it comes out of the grocery budget...and we buy less groceries
- STOP SHOPPING AT WALMART!! We have started buying all of our groceries from Krogers or a family owned grocer here in town. When we shop at Walmart, we ALWAYS blow the budget on JUNK of many shapes and forms. Avoiding Walmart works for us, and makes us much happier people to be around.
Speaking of supper, I'm burning bread! Gotta jet!
