Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...

Just click your heels together three times and say, "There's no place like Friday. There's no place like Friday." Then, PPPOOFF!, you'll be there, and what a happy day it will be!
Speaking of The Land of Oz, I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday! Oz has been a strange place this week. After being very nearly fried by a lightning bolt, and with the holiday only a week away, and the students in dire need of a break, the munchkins have been all in a dither, especially the 7th grade munchkins who somehow feel that the closer they get to Thanksgiving, the more grown they are. Sighing and rolling my eyes.
I'm so excited that I found my oldest and very first ever friend on Facebook tonight! She is in Vietnam which is bizarre because I just knew she was in Uganda. We became friends while living in Albuquerque as wee little elementary school gals, and over the years, we have randomly and accidentally lived near one another and very far away from one another, and yet...well...we somehow always find each other again. Of course, someone needs to nail her feet to the floor, so she will stay in one place! Her folks have just returned to Hawai'i, and as she put it, she now has the "huge burden" of visiting them there. Ha! I know how happy her mom must be to return to her home state, beautiful Hawaiian that she is! It's enough to make you green with envy. Too bad they can't bottle the Hawaiian gene and sell it! Anyway, C~I'm so happy to have you again!~
Meem and Pop invited our 3P's and the 2 close-by cousins over for a cousin sleepover, so PD and I plan on going out for dinner once he finishes his bridal shoot tomorrow eve. My mom and I plan to go to Jefferson this weekend to look for a headboard for Jack's room with kids in tow while DaddyP shoots a wedding. It's my goal to get Jack's room paint prep'd Saturday, so I can get the room painted Sunday after church. Which makes me sad to even think about because, POOF, then I'll be back to school, and there'll be nothing left of my weekend but happy memories and the lingering odor of paint fumes. Luckily, next week will fly with the holiday coming up behind it! At least, that is what I'm counting on.
