As I painted Sophy's room today, Jack told me that he wanted to-please-have his own room. He even had the painting and decorating related specifics picked out. Right down to the flat screen (HARDY HAR HAR) television that he wants to hang over his bed. His argument is that Sam's stuff is "everywhere" and he doesn't even like Sam's stuff. True enough, there are no two kids on this planet who are more different than these two.
I guess I knew this was bound to happen, but it never dawned on me to have my response scripted and ready to dispense. We talked about it, and I realized that there really isn't a reason why Jack can't move into the guest room, other than the fact that Sam is a big, red-headed chicken and will croak when he hears of our plan.
PDaddy's office will become our guest space if we go ahead and make Jack the happiest of kids. I'm on the lookout now for a queen sized sleeper sofa for PDad's office, a captain's bed/trundle and dresser for Jack's (mercy me) new room.
Please people. The next time I want to paint something, please, for Pete's sake (whoever he is) remind me about worms and the cans they pop out of!

Wow! Jack and his own room...I'll bet he is beyond excited. Can't wait to see CANDY!
Yep. He needs his own room. We tried our oldest two sharing a room for a while, and it about killed us all. So we moved everyone around, and it worked out much better. Wait....does that mean all the children at your house will have their OWN room? Please don't tell my kids this.
Good luck with that TV request.
