While watching the favorite show of the Pinkie3, Funniest Home Videos, a Disney Land commercial came on and tried to convince us that we really did (even though the kids have never expressed an interest-EVER-but the adults would love to go because, well...heck, It's a Small World After All, right?) So anyway, we're eating breakfast for supper, and Sophy gets this entirely too skeptical for a 6 year old expression on her face and says with a roll of her eyes and a shake of her fist into the air, "What a fib! That place IS A FIB!" To which Sam says, "Whaddya talkin' about crazy head?" To which Sophy replies, "Sam. Duh, they're all just people in costumes. Using fake voices. I already told you. The entire place is completely lying!" Oh, I had to laugh. Especially when Sam pauses, searches his brain for a retort and only comes up with, "Oh."
Then later, while I'm tucking her in, she says, "There is life on Mars, mom. Alien kind." Aah, I said. Then she says, "I'm pretty sure there is life in the Twilight Zone too."
True dat. True dat.
I've been there.
