Here we have 3 hot, sweaty kids rolling in the powder-like dust of my daddy's garden. We rolled and played until well after dark, and the kids cried muddy streaks down their cheeks when it was time to go in. It was actually a really pretty sight. As the sun was setting, the dust that was floating in the air like smoke made the sunlight streak through the air like a prysm. If it hadn't been for the grit in my teeth and the sand in my eyes, it would've been a beautiful experience. Sam begged me to join them, but I declined. Once I kicked my shoes off to get in for a better shot, and I swear to you it felt like I was standing in silk. That's how powdery the dust is. At one point, it looked like my daddy's field was on fire from all the dust particles in the air. Remember the little kid from the Peanuts, Pig Pen? As we left the field, Jack said, "Look at us! We're Pig Pen!!"

Mr. Weather Man is calling for rain in a couple of days. We'll see.

Looks like the kids had a GREAT time. Mine are like that in the huge sandbox by my sister's house. Afterwards I find sand everywhere. Are you still finding dust everywhere? ;)
omg it's supposed to be 58 degrees tonight, Kelly. FIFTY EIGHT DEGREES. It's AUTUMN in TEXAS. and will continue to be for approximately 8 more seconds. Don't blink!
