Sophy has really let the garden go to pot. HA! I wish I could blame Soph. Maybe I can blame the garden fairies that she claims live in our secret garden. One thing is for sure, it's no secret that our garden is a mess. The entire front half is one big weed!! EMBARRASSING!!! Luckily, there are still nice views on the walk through. It's just been so hot, as if that is any kind of excuse. After all, it's a garden. I knew it would be outside when I started the blasted thing. Really, April-June, I'm fine. July and August, well....we tend to let it grow with wild abandon. I'll brave the weeds sometime mid-September to give it one last punch before the end of the season. After that, we'll turn loose Sam and his chopper and start cutting back for winter. I'll try to get a pic of "Garden Kitty" the next time he visits. I have no idea whose cat he actually is, but he stops by every evening and waits for me in the garden. He's the prettiest silver cat, and he's awfully sweet considering how Sam has tortured him with the water hose. He returns faithfully, so he must like us a little bit. I think he likes eating my butterflies. It's doubtful that I could get a picture of the green, grass snake that we see fairly often in the garden. I swear it's the same one, but MR. GP says he rather doubts it's the same one. I don't think it's the one that Sophy caught and brought to me last year. That fellow was black with yellow stripes. And then he accidentally died. On purpose.
Last post for the day, I promise.

At least it hasn't been eaten by bunnies like ours. :) I am loving all the pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
