It was a loonngg weekend!

Well, the great room swap has occured. Who knew I could swap 2 entire rooms AND 2 entire closets (YIKES) in one day?! HGTV called. They want to hire me. HA!
The boys are now in the bigger room (sniff, sniff...poor Soph), and Sophy is happy as a clam in her newly painted, extremely bright, pink room. The curtains are on their way, thanks to Ebay. I'm on the lookout for the perfect curtain rod that I have envisioned but that probably doesn't exist. Oh well, I'll know it when I see it. I also plan on painting the rod iron head board white once the paint fumes from this weekend die down. Hehe. The picture you see above is of Soph's room as we were reassembling it. Did I mention it's pink? And really, really bright? Yeah. It is.

Can you believe that when I took this pic (just a wee few minutes ago)the room was pitch dark, and Sam was asleep? That's some flash on my new camera! Ha. Looks like high noon in there! I just realized that we need to switch the ceilings fans too. Sam will croak when he realizes that there are butterflies on his ceiling fan!! HAHAHAHAA.

It was Monday today. All. Day. Long. But, it's over and things can calm down anyyyy minute now. I attended a funeral today of a dear, sweet friend (great-aunt of 2 friends). Today was her birthday, and I find that so odd...or fitting? It's not like she died on her birthday, but yet, what a neat, little package her life was. She was 93 years old, and I can only hope that I am as content and happy as person as she was. She never married...maybe that's why. HA! There will be a whole in this world without her, that is for sure. Up until recently, she was still joking that she would still be driving if her niece hadn't sold her car. What a woman.
So, it's about 9:45. I still need to pop over to Shutterfly and make a picture order from our beach/Florida pics before I forget and never remember again, get backpacks and lunch boxes lined up, clothes set out for the kids, my school clothes ironed, and a few chapters read in my latest read, "Under and Alone", by William Queen. It's the story of an undercover ATF agent who infiltrated the motorcycle gang, The Mongols (direct rivals to the Hell's Angels) and the psychological mess he had to pay to do it. It's supposedly an excellent read. I'll let ya know.

Seriously. HGTV is in your future. And that is so, well, PINK-- I love it. It makes my ovaries quiver with the girliness of it all.

Sophy's room is beyond pink. That color is super pink. It's über-pink. That color represents the very epitome of pink. The soul of the color pink itself is in that room. It's pepto mismol times ten. It's as if Barbie has been brutally murdered and her hot pink blood has coated the walls.

I am totally impressed that the rooms are done. And they look marvelous. Cassidy would be so jealous to see such a pink room. :)
